March 15 - 21, 2010: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic - Festival Isis de Baile Oriental. Sahar will be performing at opening and closing galas in addition to conducting two exclusive, exciting workshops for Isis Festival guests. One week in beautiful Punta Cana with some of the best instructors from Egypt, Latin America, Europe and the USA united in paradise to offer you fabulous workshops and delight you with their performances.
March 15, 2010: Osiris Gala - Sahar Sami performs as special guest of the Opening Gala to kick off the festival.
March 19, 2010: Oriental Mix Workshop - Attendees to Sahar's workshop will walk away with a full Egyptian mini show sampler that includes classical Oriental, Saidi, Khalligi and Nubian pieces. If you are interested in Egyptian-style of dance, this is the workshop for you. This workshop will be offered twice during the festival on Thursday Marcy 18th 5-8pm and Friday, March 19th at 1:30-4:30pm. To register, visit the Festival Isis site.
March 19, 2010: Nefertiti's Night Dinner Show - Sahar performs with Egyptian Live Band along with mega star Fifi Abdo, and other Festival Isis stars.
March 20, 2010: Sahar Sami performs at Festival Isis All Star Concert. This event features Sahar Sami along with Alabina, Randa Kamel, Asi Haskal, Ayshe, Blaca, Diana Tarkhan, Francesca Maria, Jannelle Cortes, Mohamed El Hosseny, Mohamed Shahin, Oscar Flores, Saida, Suzanna Del Vecchio, Vanessa Angulo and dance company and Yamill Annum.
May 22-23, 2010: Yousry Sharif West Coast Weekend Intensive - The legendary master Yousry Sharif will teach two days of dance in San Diego California. Final details are being worked out so please visit us again soon for more details or contact classes@sahardance.com
Summer 2010: HARAM - Unveiling The Mystery of the Forbidden Dance - This production, which explores the history of Oriental (Belly) Dance was a smashing success in 2009. Due to popular demand we will re-run this production in the summer of 2010. Dancers will enact key moments in the evolution of Oriental Dance through the eyes of a dancer beginnning with the Pharaohnic Era, Harem Era, Golden Era and Modern Era. Talented dancers, beautiful costumes, educational documentary and beautiful dancers -- a show for the whole family that it is not to be missed! More details coming in Spring. July 2010: Sahar in Mexico. Sahar will be teaching a mini Egyptian show workshop and performing along with Mohamed Kazafy in Mexico's largest annual dance festival Raqs Divine. More details coming soon.
